The Euroz Big Walk for Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation on Sunday 17 March is a chance for our community to…
Each year, thousands of people of all ages hit the streets of Perth’s CBD for the HBF Run for a Reason to get active all the while raising money for a good cause of their choosing. This year’s event will be held on Sunday 22 May!
It’s a fun and unforgettable day, and you’re guaranteed to feel good. So grab your friends and family, and together enter HBF’s Run for a Reason and fundraisen for Princess Margaret Hospital!
Through this year’s HBF Run for a Reason, PMH Foundation is aiming to raise $40,000 to support exciting research into the use of running training as therapy for children with cerebral palsy.
The research is being undertaken by the Physiotherapy Department at PMH and the funds we raise will allow PMH researchers to use a state of the art 3D motion analysis laboratory at Curtin University to measure the effectiveness of the running.
This information will enable researchers to determine which patients will benefit from running training so that the right children will get the right treatment at the right time.
So what are you waiting for, sign up today and make kids at Princess Margaret Hospital your reason to run and help us fund this exciting research.
With your support, this research project could make a world of difference for young people like Layne, our 2016 HBF Run for a Reason ambassador who has cerebral palsy and participates in running therapy.
