Here at Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, our mission is to transform the health care of sick children and young people…
Our mission at PMH Foundation is to support excellence in the delivery of paediatric health care in Western Australia.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, and our shared vision that children and young people throughout Western Australia should have the best possible change to live healthy and full lives, we have been able to achieve this over the past year.
During the 2014/15 financial year, the Foundation invested over $6.1 million in a wide range of initiatives including installing the first paediatric robotic arm in an Australian hospital, growing the PMH Foundation Professorial Chair of Expertise program, and initiating a collaboration with children’s hospitals around the world to enhance the unique contribution nurses make to caring for the young patients and their families.
We have also committed an additional $22.2 million over the next five years to support research projects, fund expertise and facilitate several longer term projects.
We take our responsibility to be transparent and accountable to our donors very seriously, and as such have once again made our full Annual Review and audited Financial Report for the 2014/2015 financial year available on our website.

The year ahead will be a milestone year for child health care in Western Australia with the opening of the new Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands. Despite having a wonderful new state of the art building when we move to Perth Children’s Hospital, we will continue to depend on the generosity of the community to fund and support clinical expertise, staff training, research and specialist equipment that isn’t included in the hospital’s normal operating budget.
The Foundation will move to the new hospital in 2016 and be renamed Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation. Our name and logo will change, however commitment to supporting the hospital and its dedicated staff will remain as strong as ever. While we look forward to the opening of the new hospital, we will continue to support Princess Margaret Hospital until the day its door close.
We would like to thank each and every person who has given their money, time, skills and energy to help us support the health service and its young patients over this and previous years. We very much hope you will support our important work into the future so we can continue to help transform the lives of thousands of children who face life-threatening or life-shortening conditions.
