Big W’s support and dedication for Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation was on display as they celebrated reaching the million dollar…
The Good Guys support Stitches’ Megazone and Funshops at Princess Margaret Hospital.
We would like to thank The Good Guys for their wonderful contribution to a wide array of projects at PMH Foundation.
A series of 12 animation projects were run in Stitches’ Megazone at Princess Margaret Hospital by Steve Aiton to teach patients at the hospital the creative skills in the craft of animating.
144 kids in total participated in the animating sessions with 70 going all the way through to the animation stage. Each workshop would entail plasticine modelling and a short demonstration to develop characters for the animation and was often quite therapeutic for the children after a big play session in the Megazone.
With some kids teaming up, all in all roughly 60 short animated films were made on iPads and iPod touches and the participants were encouraged to take up animating at home on their own mobile devices.
The Good Guys also supported the annual Easter funshop which put on some entertaining activities for the kids. The company funded the Easter bonnet parade and Easter egg hunt which saw a lot of giggles and happy faces.
In addition, the Good Guys generously supported our splendid Mother’s Day high tea, which was hosted at the Megazone Theatre. They will also be supporting an exciting Father’s Day activity – along with a number of other sponsors.
